Who we are

Circular Heritage Conservation, known as CHC, is being set up to help older buildings, useful materials and traditional skills stay in use. You can contact us at hello@circularhc.uk or through our contact page.

What we collect

We only ask for information that helps us understand and respond to your enquiry. This may include your name, email address, enquiry type, message, organisation, project details, material details, volunteer interests, donation or support enquiries, and any information you choose to send us.

The website may also create basic technical records, such as browser, device, IP address, page request and time information, so the site can run securely and reliably.

How we use it

• To reply to enquiries and send them to the right CHC contact.
• To understand possible conservation projects, material donations, partnerships, volunteer interest or support offers.
• To keep reasonable records of conversations and decisions.
• To protect the website and fix technical issues.
• To improve CHC's work, where the information has been shared for that purpose.

Our lawful basis

Most enquiries are handled because CHC has a legitimate interest in replying and managing its work. Where you ask us to do something specific before entering an agreement, we may use your information to take steps at your request. Where we ask for consent, such as for a mailing list or optional research, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with people working with CHC, website and email providers, professional advisers, funders or regulators where needed, and only where there is a proper reason to do so.

How long we keep it

General enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact, unless there is a clear reason to keep them longer. Project, donation, volunteer or safeguarding records may need different retention periods once CHC's operating policies are confirmed.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete, restrict or object to the use of your personal information. If we are relying on consent, you can withdraw it. To make a request, email hello@circularhc.uk.
